Woodblock prints and ceramic sculptures

Hedge Gallery Cleveland, Ohio 2019

I came to the realization of being artist once in America, first in Mexico working as street jeweler, then in the U.S. where I could complete my studies and work and teach art. Since my early esthetic explorations as a young Italian, the art of the American continent has spoken to me in the greatest variety of empowering forms, from Pacific Northwestern masks to Jazz and Blues music, from the writers of the Beat generation to Mexican graphics and muralism, from skateboards and punk bands to the giant Olmec stone heads, and even more the cylindrical printing rolls for stamping on cloth. And it is in Ohio that I could dedicate myself to this work with more intention than ever, spurred by the support of the most generous artistic community ever experienced.Description
